the group: We are
just getting underway! Stay
tuned for updates!We are a group of
4 lay people representing different denominations, who came together in
August to plan and prepare for a Janet Paschal concert on November 9th,
2007. On Sunday, November 18th, after receiving a contribution to our
group, we felt God leading us to form a non-profit organization, to
continue to carry out the mission. Utilizing the "seed" money, we
received, The Green Beans, have been formed. For us, this is an
opportunity to serve the Lord in our community by bringing concerts,
conferences, and other events to the Beckley, WV area, in an effort to
fulfill our mission.

Why
Green Beans?:We know you want to know! Actually, so do
we! It all started the night of the Janet Paschal concert. We were
getting together for a picture and in an attempt to round up the group,
Bekah called for all of the Green Beans - a name she spontaneously gave
us because of our green shirts. Throughout the remainder of the evening
the name "Green Beans" stuck. And, once Janet posted us on her blog as
the Green Beans, we decided we'd keep the name.

Our Inspiration: We
never had any plans to go beyond the November 2007 Janet Paschal
concert. But, here we are. We found it to be a learning experience of a
lifetime, and feel that we couldn't have had a better person to work
with. We agree that Janet was a reflection of Christ, Himself in the
way she handled everything through true humility, genuineness, want for
nothing, and graciousness. We, The Green Beans, wouldn't be here today
if God hadn't brought Janet into our lives to be our inspiration. And,
we thank God for that!
